This is a remote position. BooksTime is looking for an experienced accountant to join us as a Senior Accountant. You’ll oversee bookkeeping services for a set of clients. You will NOT be required to do: any tax work; basic bookkeeping (you supervise the bookkeepers). What You'll Do

As a Senior Accountant, you will: Set up services for new clients: talk with them, understand their needs, and coordinate a team of international bookkeepers to get services up and running. You will be a high-level accounting resource to the bookkeepers, help manage communication with the client (including managing their expectations), and build a trusted advisor relationship with the client. Supervise ongoing services: after the setup, supervise and support the bookkeepers as needed for the same clients. There are opportunities to take on different or more specialized roles, such as: only new service setup or only ongoing supervision; industry-specific specialization; controller and/or CFO services; management; and more. We\'re Looking for Someone Who Is

Experienced.

Our ideal candidate has handled the accounting for multiple companies (in-house or at an accounting/bookkeeping firm). Titles that indicate experience include Controller, Finance Manager, Full Charge Bookkeeper, Director of Accounting, VP of Finance, CFO, Senior Accountant, etc. Management experience is valuable but not required. Hands-on experience with QuickBooks is essential. Ideally, you have worked with several clients simultaneously. Knowledgeable.

Most candidates have degrees in accounting (or similar), though this isn\'t strictly required. CPA and/or ProAdvisor is a plus but not required. Highly organized.

You will juggle multiple clients with different services and coordinate a diverse team of bookkeepers. Strong organizational and time-management skills are essential. Great at building strong relationships.

The role involves establishing a personal rapport with clients and becoming a trusted advisor. You should be friendly, positive, and able to handle challenging clients and work strategically to address problems. A great communicator.

You will be the face of BooksTime to clients, so excellent professional communication skills are required. Fluency in English (written and spoken) is expected. Tech-savvy.

Proficiency with computers and new systems is important. Excel experience is preferred. QuickBooks Online or Desktop experience is required. Experience with Xero or NetSuite is helpful but not required. An adaptable, fast learner.

Each client is unique, so you should enjoy diving in, learning, and solving new problems rather than sticking to established processes. Benefits
