Part-Time Relationship Banker I at
First United Bank . The Relationship Banker will be the single point of contact for customers, responsible for connecting with customers to understand how best to match their needs with First United Bank products and services, and mentoring employees to do the same. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, the ability to establish and cultivate strong personal connections, and a commitment to precision and regulatory standards as they relate to the role. This role requires establishing significant and trusting relationships with customers and using creativity to meet customer needs. Essential Duties
Maintains a basic knowledge of all First United Bank products, services, procedures, policies and regulatory issues related to daily job functions including but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy; Fair Lending; Regulation E; deposit, transaction and loan accounts. Follows proper procedures accurately and efficiently for all customer-servicing activities. Retains existing customers and develops new customer relationships. Serves as customers' single point of contact on all First United Bank products and services. Consistently meets and often exceeds performance goals and participates in sales campaigns; promotes new products and services and educates customers and peers within the bank. Participates in meetings, bank functions, and customer appreciation/community events as requested or assigned by supervisor. Consistently meets customer service expectations by offering excellent service, building rapport, and using customers' names to generate loyalty. Identifies and matches customer product needs with First United Bank products and services by interview and discussion of financial needs, including referrals to other staff members or departments as needed. Opens new accounts, certificates of deposit, and other ancillary products; answers questions and ensures proper paperwork is completed. Assist customers with routine questions and requests: balance inquiries, statements, check copies, stop payments, online banking, ACH, direct deposit, wire processing, notary services, and privacy. Processes a variety of transactions quickly with minimal errors according to bank policies and procedures, including deposits, withdrawals, money orders, cashier’s checks, and loan payments. Maintains appropriate drawer limits, performs cash verifications and vault duties, and ensures compliance with standards. Proactively resolve customer complaints or issues; review account problems and assist with repayment plans as needed. Performs security functions by opening/closing bank and vault and ensuring overall safety of bank facilities. Master the Primary Purpose and Essential duties of the Relationship Banker I position. High School Diploma strongly preferred; some college preferred. Minimum of 1 year banking experience (Teller, Lending Assistant or New Accounts) required. Cash handling experience preferred. Superior customer service skills required. Basic mathematics; ability to read, write, and verbally communicate with customers and co-workers. Ability to manage time effectively and work independently. Good judgment and decision-making skills; critical thinking and multi-tasking abilities. Maintain professional attitude and appearance; ethical behavior; active listening. The above essential duties do not cover an all-inclusive list of work requirements.
