This recruitment is for an emergency temporary position related to homelessness issues, with a possible extension and opportunity for permanent employment based on performance. The initial appointment can last up to 90 days, with a performance evaluation at the end of this period. Essential Job Functions
Process documents such as reports, charts, case files, and permits. Review documents for accuracy and completeness. Respond to public inquiries regarding regulations, forms, and services. Maintain records, utilize office equipment, and manage files. Calculate dues, collect fees, and handle office supplies. Serve as receptionist or counter clerk as needed. Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: Option I: Six months of clerical experience with LA County or districts under its jurisdiction. Option II: One year of clerical experience outside LA County. Option III: An AA degree or certificate in clerical procedures or office administration from an accredited institution. License:
Valid California Class C Driver License or alternative transportation method. Physical Requirements:
Light physical effort, including occasional lifting up to 10 pounds, bending, and standing. Additional Information
Applicants must submit official transcripts or degree verification within 7 days of application. Foreign degrees require evaluation for U.S. equivalency.
