Job Overview
The team lead- Polymer Concrete (PC) is responsible for all daily lead duties for the PC team. This includes assigning work, monitoring progress, enforcing PPE and safety, directing and redirecting employees and serving as backup for the supervisor in the event of their absence. The team lead will also be able to back up the process technician as needed.
A Day In The Life Understanding of PC processes and procedures and ability to produce casted products as well as serve as back up for the process technician as needed.
Capable of training new associates on processes and procedures.
Leading the production line to ensure product is produced according to schedule.
Providing work assignments, daily production paperwork and monitoring progress of production staff through out the day.
Verify production paperwork is completed and accurate.
Ensure work areas are kept free of unnecessary objects and housekeeping is acceptable.
Generate work orders for mold changes, new set ups and repairs when necessary.
Monitor resin usage, correct as necessary and report any issues.
Report to the supervisor if casters are not following the mix sheets and/or work instructions.
Redirect castors that are out of area or off task.
Replenish consumables as needed.
Ensure fiber cutting is being completed in accordance to the process.
Assist supervisor with monitoring employees that are leaving for and/or returning from break early/late.

Provide honest, accurate and timely feedback to supervisor regarding casters performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Lead by example, must follow all policies and procedures as well as ensuring casters are following them. Reporting to the supervisor as needed.
Capable of holding the pre-shift meetings if needed
Monitor and address quality of parts produced by casters. Assist them in resolving any issues. Retraining as needed.
Must maintain a good working relationship with other departments.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and requirements as well as ensuring the PC team follows all safety guidelines and requirements.
Other job-related task assigned by the supervisor.
Must be in good standing (no active disciplinary write-ups)
Strong ethical and moral standards
Good communication
Must be able to lead a team
Must be able to work independently or in a team
Strong organization and communication skills.
