The Server Assistant serves the waiters/waitresses by setting and cleaning tables to ensure a neat appearance. They allow waiters/waitresses to focus solely on the customer to provide the best fine-dining experience. Additionally, they assist the wait staff by delivering food to guests. They are responsible for ensuring the dish is presented correctly and required to answer any questions about the food. They are aware of any changes in the menu and are knowledgeable about the items being served. They deliver an excellent fine-dining experience by providing great customer service. Job Functions

Operations

Assist the other servers by maintaining menu presentation and table setting; replenish utensils and water glasses as needed. Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. Ensures a spotless service is delivered to all guests anytime, and that their needs and expectations are fulfilled to the highest level and down to the smallest details. Ensure unit is well maintained and that all equipment, materials and utensils are always in perfect working condition. Communicate effectively with restaurant manager, servers, and host/hostess as appropriate to ensure the guest experience is as enjoyable and effortless as possible. Prepare work area, stock all operating equipment needed to execute job effectively. Wipe expo counters; have damp towels on plates for wiping dishes before expediting. Stock and maintain share spoons throughout the service period. Thorough knowledge of restaurant floor and table layout, including table numbers and seat numbers. Thorough knowledge of food descriptions, presentation, preparation times and dietary restrictions (allergies). Deliver food to tables in a timely manner, ensuring correct table and seat numbers; accommodate requests such as allergies and cooking temperatures. Liaise with kitchen regarding special requests, possible delays, and ensure staff are aware of any concerns or orders guests might have while delivering food to the table. Responsible for maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards in the outlet and upkeep of all service equipment and tables. During operation service, set tables according to standard; communicate water preferences with the host; pour water; deliver chips to the table after the order is placed; remove dirty and re-set clean glasses, silverware, plates, table mats and napkins. Closing arrangements: remove everything from tables, wipe tabletops, arrange tables as directed, and clean up accordingly. Must be TIPS certified or comply with similar State requirements. Follow Te Deseo food and beverage standards and procedures. Perform all duties in a safe manner and monitor the actions of others. Must be pleasant, hospitable, and attentive to guests at all times. Ensure that staff maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation/health regulations and HH requirements. Maintain proper storage procedures as specified by Health Department and restaurant requirements. Instruct staff in the correct usage and care of all machinery in the kitchen operation, stressing safety. Adhere to all sanitation and safety policies. Meetings & Communication

Be available for any restaurant mandatory meeting or training. Ensure smooth communication with all direct reports and other Restaurant Managers/Supervisors. Attire, Language, and Behavior
