Preparing presentation materials supporting clients' capital decision-making. Assisting in the structuring, execution and documentation of new issue debt transactions. Conducting credit analysis and financial modeling for prospective issuers. Supporting the monitoring of Canadian and US capital markets (flows, trends, funding opportunities). Performing tasks supporting senior team members in deal execution and client coverage efforts. Working closely with Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking and Risk Management Solutions group as part of the client coverage team. Working closely with DCM offices in Montreal, Toronto and Calgary. Your team
NBCFl's US Corporate Debt Capital Markets (DCM) group advises, structures and originates debt securities across Canadian corporate issuers. The group is involved in executing investment grade and high yield transactions in both the public and private placement markets to institutional and retail investors in the US. NBCFI is seeking an Analyst, US Corporate Debt Capital Markets. You can expect to participate in a wide variety of transactions headed by senior team members and gain exposure to the firm's businesses and the capital markets industry. While emphasis is on analysis, debt transactions and written presentations, the candidate must also interact effectively with clients, colleagues, investors and other advisors. You will be part of NBCFl's New York trading room, a dynamic and fast-paced environment requiring you to process information and execute transactions in a changing market. adapt with creativity and energy to meet market demands. Qualifications and Experience
Undergraduate or graduate degree in finance, business, accounting or related field. Minimum of one year of applicable capital markets, investment banking, or corporate finance work or equivalent relevant internship experience. Strong interest in pursuing a career in capital markets or fixed income. Analytical and quantitative abilities; comfortable working with financial statements. Knowledge of capital markets and investment banking applications (proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint). Attention to detail and ability to multi-task under tight deadlines. Collaborative mindset, problem-solving ability and team spirit. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Extended working hours may be required as dictated by management and business needs. Motivated and results-oriented with a desire to exceed expectations. Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US without visa sponsorship. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the base salary for this position is $115,000.
