Responsibilities This position will support the design, development, testing and operational phases of projects undertaken at PERATON Labs, the research and development arm of PERATON corporation. This position requires the successful candidate to work closely with a diverse team of engineering, scientific and technical staff to develop novel solutions in support of such projects.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to work semi-independently in a small multi-disciplinary team utilizing their experience to participate in the analysis and design of complex systems. Experience modeling systems using tools that correctly represent components in the electrical, mechanical, software, optical domains that ultimately comprise a field-deployable system is a critical capability for this role. The ability to read, comprehend and generate professional quality design documentation is a required capability for this position as well. The successful candidate will be organized, dental oriented and able to suggest, track, implement and review changes to the model as required by senior systems engineers and other engineering teams.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Lead the development of system models that facilitate a Model Based approach to engineering electronic warfare systems

Architect the development of software to export and import model data from the System Model to be used by other engineering tools

Perform through reviews of system model changes, act as gate keeper for branching, merging and other configuration management activities

Ensure the completeness of models including specifications, applicable requirements and parameters

Lead the implementation of automated testing and simulation for digital system model components

Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the automated delivery of documentation packages including schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, and test plans to ensure accurate representation in the System Model

Closely coordinate project work with senior, mid and junior level MBSE designer(s) and the Systems Engineering Manager

Qualifications Required Education and Work Experience:

The successful candidate has diversified knowledge of principles and practices in engineering.

A degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required with the following experience levels:

BS with 12 or more years of experience.

MS with 7 or more years of experience.

PhD with 3 or more years of experience.

(Experience must be with relevant work in a professional setting)

Required Skills/Attributes:

Deep experience with the development of complete and representative system models in Cameo’s MagicDraw

Extensive experience managing systems model configurations in a managed environment like Cameo’s Teamwork Cloud

Experience with branching and merging models to support multiple configurations, and development activities in parallel

Experience coordinating software developers to build and test tools to export and import data from the model

Expertise writing technical documentation in MS word and PowerPoint for direct presentation/delivery to customers

Ability to be onsite five days a week when required

Ability to obtain Secret clearance

U.S. Citizenship

Desired Skills/Attributes:

Experience with C,C++ and Python, Matlab and other tools to develop software interfaces between Magicdraw + DataHub and engineering development environments

Experience with Cameo DataHub

Experience with Teamwork Cloud

Experience with IBM DOORS

Experience applying STIGS to develop cybersecurity models

Target Salary Range $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
