Loss Prevention Specialist
Overview Loss Prevention Specialist responsibilities include supporting shrinkage and safety awareness programs, conducting surveillance, interviewing suspects, maintaining records, supporting safety programs, and participating in internal investigations. The role also involves performing duties in accordance with company policies and procedures to drive sales and profit. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or GED. Responsibilities
Support Shrinkage and Safety Awareness Programs: assist store management in communicating current shrinkage and safety topics. Conduct Surveillance: observe customer and contractor activities (CCTV / floor) to detect theft, fraud, or suspicious activity; collect investigative intelligence related to Organized Retail Crime (ORC) activity; monitor team member activity as needed; report infractions to AP and/or store management. Detaining and Interviewing Suspects: conduct interviews in accordance with local laws and company policy for customers and contractors suspected of theft; report suspected fraud to AP management or Market Investigations as needed. Maintaining Records: create and manage records using approved company methods; ensure proper retention of evidence and disposition of recovered merchandise. Participating in Court Hearings: attend hearings, update relevant files, and maintain relationships with local law enforcement. Supports Safety Programs: identify and address potential hazards to customers and associates; take initiative to correct minor hazards; conduct incident investigations and complete associated reports. Supports Internal Investigations: take direction from AP management to collect evidence regarding internal investigations; act as an interview witness as needed. Perform Responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures to drive sales and profit. Qualifications
