Job ID: 3059716 | Amazon Data Services Italy S.R.L. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We’re the people who keep the cloud running, supporting all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure continual access to our customers’ workloads. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables affecting the supply chain, and we’re looking for talented people to help. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to uphold the highest safety and security standards while providing scalable capacity at the lowest possible cost. SAFETY
- Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world-class safety culture. Own safety initiatives and projects to foster a strong safety culture. DATA CENTER OPERATIONS (DCO)
- This position involves: Diagnosing hardware and network problems followed by physical repairs Troubleshooting events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs) Performing root cause analysis of equipment failures Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations) Working rotating shifts (morning/late/night) and weekends to maintain the 24/7 data center environment Local travel may be required up to 10% of the time. A valid (EU) driving license is required as Data Centers may not have public transportation nearby. Location Requirements
- Our data centers are located in remote areas outside Milan, with limited access to public transport; therefore, a valid EU driving license is required for this role. Work Schedule
- This is a 100% onsite in-person position due to the hands-on nature of managing mission-critical infrastructure and data center operations. About the team and culture

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS IT hardware troubleshooting related experience Completed formal education/apprenticeship or training in IT related field B1 level of English PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Diploma or equivalent formal qualification in IT related field Basic knowledge of Linux and experience with network protocols Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
