First Solar is hiring for multiple positions in Perrysburg, OH; Trinity, AL; and New Iberia, LA, in partnership with Women in Cleantech and Sustainability.
Roles and Locations
Development Engineering Technician II
— Perrysburg, OH
Support DE tests in the manufacturing line or perform testing in a lab environment.
Use understanding of engineering & tech skills to interpret instructions into actions and experimental outcomes.
May assist in troubleshooting tool/process issues and suggest system improvements to achieve performance goals.
May compile and analyze test data from performed testing.
Technician - Manufacturing Engineer I USA
— Perrysburg, OH Assist in the installation and qualification of systems, troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing issues, identify and/or implement system improvements that contribute to the achievement of throughput, yield and product performance goals. Will include supporting the operation of pilot-line equipment to define a new process followed by a transition to start-up, qualification, and implementation of the new production process with the eventual evolution into a standard production MET position.
Engineer - Controls I (PM Shift/B Crew)
— Perrysburg, OH The following is an entry-level corporate controls position where a successful candidate will be required to support manufacturing operations, assist with equipment implementation/startup, development of electrical controls systems/designs, PLC/HMI programming, data collection and optimization of manufacturing processes control systems. This position directly supports a manufacturing site; the successful candidate will be assigned to AM shift 6:00 AM – 6:10 PM. This results in a rotating 36/48-hour work week schedule, which includes working every other Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Engineer - Manufacturing II USA
— Trinity, AL Install and qualify new process equipment. Troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing issues on the production line in a timely manner. These include tool down issues, yield, quality issues and identify actions to prevent repeat issues. Identify and/or implement system improvements that contribute to the achievement of throughput, yield and product performance goals.
Planner - Global III USA
— New Iberia, LA
Assure the world-wide delivery of finished product from global manufacturing facilities meets First Solar’s allocations, customer contracts and requirements ("Supply/Demand") at the best weighted average cost of production and delivery.
Analyze global capacity and demand.
Allocate finished goods to global markets.
Communicate plans and requirements to, and negotiate support from, First Solar organizations to ensure timely product delivery at lowest overall delivery cost.
Key member of sales and operations planning team.
Human Resources Manager
— New Iberia, LA The Human Resources Manager performs management-level strategic human resources related duties for First Solar. Ensures all human resources functions and activities run effectively and efficiently and in accordance with First Solar’s Code of Conduct, Behaviors & Core Values. Carries out responsibilities across the HR generalist spectrum, including recruiting, employee relations, transaction preparation & processing, process and procedure development and interpretation, benefits, training & communication. Oversees and directs the work of reporting HR staff and encourages the development of the HR staff.
