Alcon is a global leader in eye care. We are looking for a field‑based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to support the adoption of Alcon products in the vitreous–retinal space by facilitating evidence generation, scientific exchange, and gathering insights. Responsibilities

Upon investigator request, liaise between potential researchers and Alcon on Investigator Initiated Trials (IITs) and act as project lead from inception to publication. Respond to unsolicited requests for scientific exchange/insights, providing detailed knowledge of FDA‑approved Alcon products, current medical/scientific research, and proposals for scientific research. Support ECPs interested in participating in Alcon’s IITs by guiding them through concept endorsement, synopsis review, and grant approval. Foster KOL/HCP interest and engagement in data/evidence generation through IITs and liaise with researchers from inception to publication. Deliver effective medical presentations to ECPs and collect and report insights. Develop and maintain peer‑to‑peer scientific relationships with KOLs and decision‑makers to expand evidence generation and gain advocacy. Develop a strong understanding of surgeons/ECPs/KOLs future needs and support medical education aligned with Alcon’s strategy. Identify national, regional, and local KOL eye care provider experts by medical expertise and reputation. Liaise and provide up‑to‑date medical support to healthcare associations to ensure evidence‑based understanding of Alcon products relative to guidelines. Regularly collect, analyze, and report insights that may impact company development plans, trial designs, launch, and brand strategies. Function as the Alcon medical speaker, presenting at customer sites, congresses, symposia, and training events. Support educational efforts such as wet‑lab activities by proctoring and being onsite as needed. What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (high school+15 yrs; associate+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; Ph.D.+3 yrs). Fluency in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating in English. 7 years of relevant experience. Preferred Education and Experience

MD, DO, or OD with specialization in ophthalmology. Advanced knowledge of retinal surgical procedures and eye diseases. Experience in ophthalmology or optometry (academia, industry, clinical practice). Experience in an ECP‑facing role. Working knowledge of the healthcare system, research procedures, ICH guidelines, GCP, and other ethical guidelines. Essential knowledge of clinical trial design, product development, regulatory requirements, payer landscape, and life cycle management. Experience in scientific presentations, medical writing, and biostatistics. Proven ability to develop and foster peer‑to‑peer relationships with medical experts/decision makers. How You Can Thrive
