The position is part of the Information Technology Department and reports directly to the IT Manager. PCC Airfoils, LLC is a wholly‑owned subsidiary of Precision Castparts Corp., a Fortune 500 company with global operations.

Overview The internship provides students with hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced, goal‑oriented environment. The role involves software development, help desk support, and application maintenance in a manufacturing setting that serves aerospace and industrial markets.

Responsibilities

Assist in the development and implementation of C#, VB6, and SQL based applications and reports.

Support help desk functions to gain basic knowledge of the business environment, technology, and users.

Participate in application software maintenance, ensuring adherence to conventions and change control processes.

Engage in new application development, including design, specification adherence, and operational efficiency.

Contribute to process design, project planning, measurement of progress, and integration with other systems.

Assist in maintaining and auditing software to improve product quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

Full‑time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of .NET, C#, and SQL.

Understanding of logical concepts such as Boolean algebra.

Basic familiarity with PC and network hardware, printers, and Crystal Reports (preferred).

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Highly motivated, results‑oriented, and proactive in addressing challenges.

Opportunities
