Material Handler - 1st Shift
DOUGLAS, GEORGIA OPERATIVE JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Materials Handler DEPARTMENT: Materials PAY LEVEL: H03 JOB FUNCTION: The Materials Handler is responsible for assisting in the Materials department of all raw materials and finished product for the plant. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Capable of reading and interpreting shipping and receiving operating instructions. Unload trucks and check invoices for received parts and products. Load outbound trucks making sure all shipping documentation is correct and in place. Respond to manufacturing requirements. Identify parts and product for accurate sorting. Must have valid drivers license. Meet 6S requirements. Will be required to receive and identify parts and product per O.I. Electronically enter data and generate barcode labels to identify materials accurately Able to use AQCS system and other computer programs, up to and including Microsoft Office. Be able to communicate professionally with customers and vendors. EDUCATION: High school education, Associates Degree preferred. EXPERIENCE: Three months OJT training. INITIATIVE AND INGENUITY: Normal initiative and ingenuity. EFFORT: Normal effort required. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds consistently; higher weights with appropriate lifting devises. RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for self. Make sure shipments meet quality standards. Must be willing to work daily overtime and weekend overtime as necessary.
