Overview
Appellate Counsel - 1022037
– Department of Revenue, State of Missouri. This grant funded position handles alcohol related driver license appeals in the Eastern, Western, and Southern District of the Missouri Court of Appeals. The attorney will draft briefs, participate in oral arguments, conduct research, teach DWI case law, and work with the General Counsel and Attorney General’s Office to develop the Department’s appellate strategy. Significant subject‑matter training will be provided. This role fits someone who enjoys working independently and may offer a flexible schedule. This position is a qualifying Public Service Loan Forgiveness employer.

Responsibilities
Represent the Department on appeals of alcohol-related driver license issues
Serve as liaison with the Attorney General’s Office to develop appeal strategies
Legal research and writing
Teach DWI case law updates for law enforcement officers and attorneys (occasional travel required)
Maintain strong familiarity with Missouri Supreme Court Rules and appellate procedures

Missouri Bar license in good standing
