The

IT Manager

will oversee the day‑to‑day management, support, and continuous improvement of the company’s technology systems, while also performing hands‑on technical work as needed. This role requires a strong balance between leadership and direct execution, ensuring that critical IT functions run smoothly across multiple shifts and that the team can meet operational demands without disruption.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of IT systems, infrastructure, and security protocols across the organization.

Administer and optimize SQL databases, including query development, reporting, and performance tuning to support operational and business intelligence needs.

Manage Microsoft operating systems and hybrid/cloud environments; Azure Cloud experience strongly preferred.

Oversee and maintain network infrastructure, IP phone systems, and integrated production‑floor technology.

Collaborate closely with operations and manufacturing teams to implement solutions that improve efficiency, automation, and system uptime.

Provide on‑call IT support, ensuring coverage for two weekday shifts, Saturdays, and occasional Sundays.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues directly, including hands‑on support for barcode printers and other production equipment (requires lifting up to 35 lbs).

Ensure robust backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes are in place and regularly tested.

Manage, mentor, and support IT staff to ensure service coverage and timely resolution of user issues.

Maintain vendor relationships, monitor performance against KPIs, and conduct contract reviews to ensure cost‑effectiveness and service quality.

Stay current with emerging technologies relevant to manufacturing operations, evaluating and implementing improvements where appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum 7+ years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Proven experience with Microsoft operating systems; Azure Cloud experience is a plus.

Track record of successfully performing hands‑on IT work in addition to leading a team.

Experience supporting enterprise applications and integrated systems in a manufacturing or production environment.

Ability to work effectively under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and respond quickly to unexpected challenges.

Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Experience in manufacturing strongly preferred.

Bilingual skills are a plus.
