Responsibilities

Deliver an excellent experience to current and potential customers through in-person interactions, phone, and email. Support and service to new and existing Security Bank of Kansas City customers while ensuring a consistent, prompt, and professional customer experience in the banking center channel. Build and enhance customer relationships to foster long-term relationships; identify and satisfy customer financial needs through banking products and services. Greet customers enthusiastically and provide quality customer service; seek ways to exceed customer expectations. Promote bank products and services to prospective new customers and to meet personal and office targets. Proactively seek financial solutions for new and existing customer relationships to meet or exceed expectations; refer customers to other departments and bank affiliates/partners (e.g., mortgage, commercial lending, treasury management, financial advisors) as appropriate. Maintain knowledge of consumer/business banking products and services; educate customers on emerging bank technology (mobile banking, online banking, bill pay, ATM/ITM functionality, debit and credit cards, E-statements). Process a variety of banking transactions accurately and securely, safeguarding against fraud and protecting customer privacy. Assist with basic deposit and credit account openings, account maintenance, and access to safe deposit boxes as applicable. Demonstrate strong decisioning skills; conduct transactions and sales activities with minimal supervision. Provide friendly service in the lobby, teller line, drive-thru, or over the phone; support other departments to ensure efficient workflows. Follow applicable policies, procedures, regulatory rules, and guidelines; stay up to date with changes. Identify customer needs through needs-based questioning and offer appropriate products/services or referrals to bank partners to deepen relationships. Ensure disclosures, audit standards, and security policies are followed in accordance with bank policy and federal regulations. Assist with training new employees and provide ongoing training for current employees. Support branch goals and work within assigned banking center; may travel within the bank network as needed. Qualifications

Minimum 1-2 years banking, retail, or sales experience with prior customer interaction preferred. Proven sales, leadership, client experience, and some outside networking/community involvement. High school education or equivalent; English communication skills (oral and written) to interact with customers and coworkers clearly and professionally. Ability to present professionally with appropriate tact, diplomacy, and personal appearance. Intermediate experience with office technology tools (e.g., computer, internet, Microsoft Office). General knowledge of traditional bank products/services including Online/Mobile Banking and self-serve channels. Recent customer service experience, preferably in a banking environment. Ability to multi-task, stay organized, meet goals, and work with limited supervision. Willingness to come to work as scheduled and travel to various work locations as needed.
