SDMC-Sutter Delta Medical Center Position Overview:
Performs diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with policies, values and mission of the organization. Responsible for commonly performed echocardiography procedures with consistent proficiency. Procedures include: two dimensional transthoracic echocardiograms; exercise/dobutamine stress echocardiograms; agitated saline (bubble) studies; UEA (ultrasound enhancing agent) echocardiograms. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures with proficiency, including two dimensional transthoracic echocardiograms, exercise/dobutamine stress echocardiograms, agitated saline studies, and ultrasound enhancing agent echocardiograms. Ensure patient privacy and safety in accordance with local/state/federal regulations and organizational policies. Collaborate with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives. Education
Graduate from an accredited Cardiac Sonography Program. Certification & Licensure
RCS (CCI) - Registered Cardiac Sonographer. Or ARDMS (RDCS AE for adult or RDCS PE for pediatric). BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider. Skills and Knowledge
General knowledge of diagnostic cardiac sonography principles, procedures, and views; operation and maintenance of imaging equipment. Capability to perform routine cardiac sonographic examinations; understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Clear written and verbal communication to diverse audiences, including non-medical people. Good time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize assignments and work within standard operating procedures and scientific methods to meet deadlines. Basic knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Office) and related information systems (RIS, LIS, EHR, EPIC, PACS). Work under close supervision or within clearly defined procedures to complete assignments within established timeframes. Use existing procedures to identify and solve routine problems. Ensure the privacy of each patient’s PHI. Build and collaborate with peers and healthcare providers to achieve objectives. Job Details

Pay Range is $63.12 to $79.26 / hour The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
