As a Lead Solution Architect within our Data & AI Practice, you will leverage a client-centric approach to understand challenges and opportunities to deliver solutions that drive high-value business outcomes. You will engage in solutioning and support on strategic opportunities, address high-risk complex deliveries, and help shape strategic direction using data platforms, reporting, self-service analytics, real-time intelligence and AI engineering. Provide technical leadership on client projects, shape deals and propositions, drive architectural decisions, create plans and roadmaps, and produce design artifacts. Play a key role in Avanade’s sales process by crafting solutions that innovate, win new business, and define high-level design, estimates and contractual details for client proposals. Coach and mentor more junior colleagues within your team and across the organization. Translate complex technical concepts into audience-appropriate language and present value-based outcomes to senior business stakeholders, technology leaders and internal sales teams. Engage in early client conversations, support origination and deal qualification, capture requirements and solutioning, and build strong client relationships as a trusted advisor. Collaborate with Data & AI leadership to shape offerings, accelerators and background IP to support GTM activities. Drive evolution of best practices and methodologies for AI development, including data management, model training, fine-tuning and deployment. Lead the development of data and analytics platforms, real-time intelligence and reporting solutions using Python, SQL, Microsoft Azure Data Services, Fabric and Databricks. Identify and pursue cross-industry solutions at scale (Data Migration, Automation Migration, Visualization/Reporting, Data Platform Modernization and Governance). Drive growth across the Data & AI Solution Area and contribute to multi-year engagements and Managed Services. Qualifications
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft technologies and Databricks. Experience in Data, Applied Intelligence, Automation, IoT and related technologies. Awareness of channels to market and how to operate in a Microsoft and partner ecosystem to ensure customer success. High energy and interest in helping clients understand the fast-moving AI industry, product and service evolution. Experience creating technical visions, high-level architectures, and delivery roadmaps for large programs involving AI concepts, especially for scaling AI across enterprises. Deep understanding of responsible data platforms, migration principles, regulatory frameworks, and risk mitigation with rapid delivery of impactful solutions. Ability to create design artifacts and present for approval at architectural forums with multi-disciplinary stakeholders from engineering to C-level executives. In-depth knowledge of modern Data & AI capabilities (structured/unstructured data analysis, streaming data, IoT, AI, GenAI and related analytics fields). Experience designing and delivering large-scale Data Platform solutions using approaches such as Lakehouse, Data Mesh, Fabric, Cloud Scale Analytics, etc., with attention to performance, security and reliability. Lead architecture assignments on client projects, collaborating with delivery teams and client stakeholders to shape deals, drive architectural decisions and produce design artifacts. Provide coaching and mentoring to junior colleagues and foster knowledge sharing within the organization.
