Senior Accountant
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid – 2 days in office, 3 remote)
Compensation: $90,000–$110,000 base | Spot bonuses possible | Strong benefits package
About the Opportunity The Kostelic Agency has been engaged on an exclusive search for a Senior Accountant with a rapidly expanding, PE‑backed organization headquartered in Phoenix. We’re seeking someone who’s sharp, reliable, and technically strong — someone who knows their way around the general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and revenue recognition. This isn’t a siloed corporate accounting role; it’s hands‑on, high‑visibility, and ideal for someone who wants to make an impact while learning under a genuinely great leadership team.
What You’ll Do
Own month‑end close, reconciliations, and journal entries across multiple entities.
Support project accounting, including percentage‑of‑completion and cost/revenue tracking.
Collaborate with controllers, operations, and project teams to ensure financial accuracy.
Analyze monthly results to identify risks, savings, and opportunities.
Contribute to process improvements and ensure strong internal controls.
Ideal Background
5+ years of accounting experience, with solid GL and reconciliation expertise.
Background in mid‑sized environments (not too small, not too big — “the happy medium”).
Exposure to construction, contracting, or project‑based accounting preferred.
Experience with percentage‑of‑completion (POC) and revenue recognition required.
CPA or public accounting foundation a plus, not mandatory.
Must have a positive attitude, curiosity, and flexibility to handle a growing, fast‑moving organization.
