Job Description We are seeking a
Senior Accountant
to join our accounting team in
Tampa, FL . This role will be responsible for journal entries, general ledger analysis, financial reporting and reconciliations of related accounts or other financial and analytical projects as directed. It also requires attention to detail and solid analytical, organizational and communication abilities. This is a hybrid position that requires to be on-site at least 2 days a week.
Responsibilities
Records journal entries and reviews general ledger details.
Reconciles accounts to the general ledger.
Research discrepancies and corrects errors.
Creates, reviews and provides reports.
Assists with external audit requests.
Reviews transactions for compliance with company policy and GAAP.
Works with Accounts Payable to ensure proper coding.
Assists with the preparation of budgets.
Duties may be general accounting in nature or more specialized and focused, e.g., fixed asset accounting.
Perform other such duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or finance and 2 to 4 years of public accounting or a combination of public and private accounting.
CPA certification preferred.
Oracle, Blackline preferred or other G/L and Banking reconciliation software experience along with an understanding of consolidated financial statements for multiple entities preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
Position requires strong technical accounting skills and understanding of GAAP.
