Our client, a respected family law firm, is seeking an
Associate Attorney
with direct experience serving as
first chair
in family law matters. This position is best suited for an attorney who can manage a caseload independently, provide compassionate yet assertive representation, and thrive in an environment where client advocacy and courtroom presence are essential. Key Responsibilities
Independently manage a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, modifications, and related disputes. Serve as
first chair
in hearings, mediations, and trials. Conduct client consultations, develop case strategies, and maintain ongoing communication with clients. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and trial briefs. Represent clients in negotiations, depositions, mediations, and courtroom proceedings. Ensure case deadlines are met and maintain compliance with state and local court rules. Collaborate with firm partners and support staff to deliver effective and efficient client service. Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in AL. 2–5+ years of family law litigation experience , with proven first chair trial or hearing experience. Strong litigation, negotiation, and client counseling skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. Highly organized and able to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
