Position Overview

Lane Community College is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant Instructor to teach in the Nursing Assistant 1 program in Eugene/Springfield. The primary responsibility of the Nursing Assistant Instructor is to provide quality teaching in a full range of community college Nursing Assistant courses. Beyond the required education and experience, instructors must have a passion for what they teach and have teaching styles that support student success. This is an application pool posting for 2025-26. The assigned location for this position is at the Lane Community College’s main campus located in Eugene, Oregon. Responsibilities

Ensure students develop requisite entry-level knowledge, skills, and competencies to sit for certification or licensure and/or work in the field. Employ strong classroom management skills, including independent judgment, subject matter expertise, interpersonal skills, and knowledge of teaching theory and methodologies. Advise, assist, and tutor students, and connect them with available resources to support their learning. Effectively communicate with faculty, staff, students, and community partners. Requirements

Two years of experience as an RN. Must maintain current and unencumbered State Of Oregon Registered Nurse License. Completion of a course on teaching adults, or one year of experience teaching adults. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Prior experience teaching NA and/or CNA2 in the classroom, lab, and clinical setting. Demonstrated experience of Oregon State Board of Nursing standards, accreditation, and self-study. Application Information
