The Cook is responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing and cooking menu items in accordance with Luna Grill recipes. Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment. Knows and complies with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies and procedures. Stocks and maintains sufficient food levels at line stations to ensure smooth service. Ports food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipes. Maintains a clean and sanitary work station, including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, etc. Assists in food prep during off-peak periods as needed. Properly closes the kitchen following the closing checklist and assists others in closing. Attends scheduled team meetings and training, offering suggestions for improvements. Performs other duties such as dishwashing and bussing as assigned.
