The Senior EHS Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of safety and sustainability at Kraft Heinz's flagship facility in Champaign, Illinois – a 3-million-square-foot, multi-site, state-of-the-art complex that sets the standard for innovation and excellence in the industry. As the largest and most advanced plant in North America, this site demands a forward-thinking EHS leader who can develop and implement a transformational strategy that drives a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization. The role offers direct exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence the broader EHS Kraft Heinz network. Responsibilities

Transformational EHS Strategy Development: develop and implement a comprehensive EHS transformation strategy that addresses immediate safety concerns and fosters a long-term culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across all levels, aligned with ESG and other company strategies. Data-Driven Performance Improvement: lead initiatives to enhance EHS performance through data analysis, identify risk factors and trends, and drive targeted interventions to prevent injuries and environmental incidents, achieving KPIs and other metrics. Best Practice Implementation: model and enforce best practices in safe working techniques, hold partners accountable to EHS standards, drive continuous improvement toward global best practices, ensure compliance with OSHA, EHS, and ESG standards, oversee wastewater treatment programs and plant emissions, and develop and execute the site security plan including oversight of the security team. Crisis and Change Management Leadership: lead change management efforts to address safety challenges and engage employees in improved EHS practices, and develop and execute crisis management plans to respond effectively to safety incidents. Annual Improvement Plans: develop and implement robust annual improvement plans for safety, environmental performance, business continuity, asset conservation, and facility security, ensuring alignment with operational goals and CAPEX planning. Support Lead for EHS Strategy With POD/BU: support the EHS Business Unit Leader in implementing safety protocols and best practices to ensure consistent application of EHS standards and alignment with operational goals and strategy. Compliance and Regulatory Management: implement, execute, and ensure compliance with Kraft Heinz EHS policies, procedures, and all federal, state, and local OSHA/EPA regulations. On-site Medical Program Oversight: oversee the 24/7 medical program, including a nurses’ station and medical office; provide leadership to medical staff and contribute to evolving the facilities medical and occupational health programs. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in safety and environmental management, Industrial Hygiene, or equivalent experience; demonstrated leadership in EHS transformation. Minimum 5–7 years of managerial experience in EHS with a track record of transformational change and operational excellence. Safety leadership experience in related industries (CPG, distribution/transportation, manufacturing, or grocery) with experience in advanced facilities or factory of the future environments. Proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive EHS strategies aligned with organizational goals and business outcomes. Advanced proficiency in monitoring and analyzing safety performance data; experience with data analytics tools and software. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (OSHA, ESG, waste management) and ability to interpret and apply them. Experience managing multiple projects with proficiency in project management tools. Ability to develop and implement business continuity plans and manage site security; experience responding to crises. Knowledge of EHS management systems and deployment, including EHS software and technology. Transformational leadership and a track record of fostering continuous improvement and employee engagement. Leadership and team development skills; ability to motivate, coach, and manage conflict. Effective communication and collaboration skills to lead change and engage cross-functional teams and leadership. Analytical and problem-solving skills with familiarity in digital tools that support continuous improvement. Organizational and digital literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management tools, and data analytics platforms. Preferred Qualifications

Professional designations such as ASP, CSP, CIH, CHMM are preferred. Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and TPM. Ability to work flexible hours and weekends. Compensation & Benefits

New Hire Base Salary Range: $118,400.00 – $148,000.00 Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus.
