Qualifications
Must possess high school diploma
Extensive experience with tennis
Cap 1 and/or Cap 2 certification (prior to season)
First Aid and CPR certified (prior to season)
Successful past coaching experience, preferred
Knowledge of the MHSAA tennis rules and regulations, preferred
Ability to work within a coordinated tennis curriculum from youth through varsity level
Strong personal and social skills, with the ability to effectively communicate using a variety of media
Job Description / Responsibilities
Attend and assist with in-season and out-of-season training/conditioning opportunities for grades 6-12
Work within a program philosophy and curriculum that builds upon itself from grades 6-12
Develop cohesive coaching relationships that work to develop players from grades 6-12
Assist with teaching and instructing all aspects of tennis, while working to develop and emphasize positive character traits in all athletes
Provide coaching, encouragement, and guidance to all athletes in the program
Build meaningful positive relationships with staff and student body
Motivate players and coaches to work toward program and philosophy goals
Other duties may be assigned by the Athletic Director
Salary / Benefits Per VBCEA/PPEA, MEA - NEA contract Schedule C
