Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The UCLA Brain Tumor Imaging Laboratory (BTIL) in the Department of Radiological Sciences is seeking a Research Associate to oversee the operations of its preclinical MRI facility. In this role, you'll manage the day-to-day activities of the MRI lab, operate the 3T preclinical MRI scanner, collaborate with investigators, and support ongoing technical development efforts and transitional imaging projects. You will also be responsible for maintaining scanner quality assurance as well as ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. This is a key position for candidates eager to contribute to cutting-edge cancer research in a highly collaborative and technically advanced academic environment. The ideal candidate would have prior experience with MRI Physics and image processing. Job Qualifications

Strong interpersonal skills for interaction to communicate diplomatically and effectively with faculty, patients, physicians, collaborators, researchers, and other University staff. Ability to learn new methods and protocols and to adapt these to current laboratory situations Preferred: M.S. in Bioengineering, or related field Working knowledge of Bruker MRI system and user interfaces Working knowledge of MR Physics, MR programming tools (Matlab, SPM, FSL, Unix etc.)
