Full Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 4032) at GameStop. Working with minimal supervision, supports the Store Manager in all facets of store operations and develops a sales culture by providing outstanding guest service experiences and product knowledge. Responsibilities

Provide best-in-class guest service: promptly greet guests; respond to questions/concerns quickly and courteously; assist guests with gaming needs; inform guests of promotions; recommend additional items; apply selling behaviors during every transaction; circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks. Support the total shopping environment, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns accurately using the POS system; ensure proper handling of transactions and top-notch guest service. Respond to guest comments/questions in person or by phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop guest benefits (e.g., new title reservations program, trade-in program, Pro Rewards). Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training for store associates on policies, procedures, practices, and guidelines. Observe associate performance, provide feedback, and address unsatisfactory performance as directed; align with company and store guest service expectations. Provide recognition and feedback to all store associates; document feedback in the Workday HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding, job training, and compliance training are completed prior to opening or closing shifts; associates should know all job aspects, policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, financial protocol, and ethics. Schedule store associates to follow guidelines, manage breaks, and maintain optimum guest service levels; supervise staffing accordingly. Approve payroll, manage time off, and verify compensation for time worked. Ensure store areas, including restrooms, are clean and merchandised per guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment are in working order. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders daily and maintain inventory control and loss prevention practices. Protect company assets; inspect packages for associates at closing or end of shift as appropriate; report concerns to the Store Manager. Assist the team in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative duties. Perform inventory counts, stock/restock merchandise, and organize products on the sales floor. Count, balance, and reconcile daily transactions; complete closeout paperwork and banking procedures as required. Verify shipments for discrepancies; conduct inventories and communicate discrepancies to management. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls; label boxes with packing lists. Maintain safety awareness; report injuries per company guidelines. Help maintain orderly store records/files and ensure manuals are up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures, including the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct. Follow opening and closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Key Skills

Outgoing, welcoming personality with strong people skills. Provide genuine and individualized guest assistance during every visit. Clear verbal and written communication; English proficiency; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet objectives. Work independently and as part of a team; timely task performance. Meet performance expectations, including attendance, safety, and respectful workplace. Operate POS system; basic math and alphabetical skills. Complete required paperwork accurately; follow written, oral, or diagram instructions. Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and some holidays (minimum 3 days/week). Ability to handle pressure, problem-solve, and maintain guest interactions. Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently. Ability to stand, move, and lift up to 30 lbs; perform physical duties as required. Understanding of military ranks/insignia where applicable (stores on military bases). Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $17.45 - $21.45 per hour. Full-time store positions are eligible for incentive programs, 401(k), paid time off, dental, vision, and health insurance. Bonus and/or other incentives may apply.
