Avalo is seeking an experienced and self-starting Research Field Trial Coordinator to join our team. You will be a crucial link between our research and field operations teams, managing R&D field trials from start to finish. This remote position is based near a strategic research trial location in Texas and requires travel to trial sites, with occasional travel to other domestic or international research locations. Some weekend work will be required. Location: Lubbock, Texas (or other strategic location in Texas Panhandle). Compensation: Commensurate with experience plus benefits. You should be comfortable operating specialized agricultural research equipment and thrive on working autonomously. Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of research field trials including site selection, planting, plot maintenance, data collection, and harvest Collaborate directly with Avalo breeders and research scientists to finalize experimental designs for each trial location Operate and maintain specialized research equipment for planting, spraying, and harvesting, ensuring calibration and data integrity Coordinate the hiring and management of on-site support for key field activities, including sourcing temporary labor, training, and supervision Collect, organize, and manage field data (crop growth stages, pest/disease pressure); ensure data quality and prepare detailed reports for the research team Oversee trial logistics including transportation of equipment and supplies; travel primarily within Texas and other locations as needed Serve as the primary on-site contact between Avalo’s R&D team and partners or CROs Ensure all field trial activities adhere to safety protocols and relevant regulations Prepare reports and share trial findings with R&D, product, and commercial teams Perform additional responsibilities or special projects as needed to support Avalo’s objectives Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, Crop Science, Agricultural Science, or related field Proven experience managing agricultural R&D field trials from planting to harvest Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting specialized planting and harvesting equipment Strong understanding of agronomic principles, crop production cycles, and common pests, diseases, and weeds Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate data collection Familiarity with data collection tools, agricultural practices, and trial reporting methods Effective communication to coordinate between on-site and remote teams Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Willingness and ability to travel frequently within Texas and other U.S. states Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
