We have multiple positions available, including before and after school care at Portland Public Schools. This position requires availability Monday through Friday, with full-time hours from 6:15-9:00 am and 2:00-6:00 pm, or part-time hours from 2:00-6:00 pm. Flexible planning time is also available. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe, developmentally appropriate classroom, implementing engaging curricula, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and the community. Work primarily occurs at YMCA before and after school programs in Portland, with occasional travel to other YMCA childcare sites within the Columbia-Willamette area. Staff may also be asked to attend company events outside regular hours with prior notice. Requirements Pass a YMCA Background Check At least 240 hours of experience working with school-age children in the past five years, an associate degree or higher in a related field, or Step 6 on the Oregon Registry Meet all Program Leader standards as per the state Child Care Division Current enrollment or ability to enroll in the Oregon State Childcare Registry Current CPR and First Aid certifications or ability to obtain within 30 days Current Food Handlers certification or ability to obtain within 30 days At least 18 years old Seniority Level
