CDL-A - Regional Van Truckload truck driver role at Schneider. Regional routes with predictable power lanes and a high volume of freight. 95% no-touch, mostly drop-and-hook freight. Dispatched in advance for improved planning. Drive within the Eastern 37 states. Home time every other week.
Responsibilities
Operate as a Regional Van Truckload driver within the Eastern 37 states.
Utilize predictable power lanes with a high volume of freight.
Maintain 95% no-touch, mostly drop-and-hook freight where applicable.
Work with advance dispatch for better planning and scheduling.
Achieve maximum drive time with consistent freight and reduced downtime.
Pay and Bonus Potential
Mileage pay, plus hourly pay while on duty (not driving).
Weekly performance pay.
Sign-on bonus: $6,000 for experienced drivers, paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year.
Sign-on bonus: $3,000 for inexperienced drivers, paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year.
Mileage incentive: potential to receive a $0.02/mile increase based on weekly miles and goals.
Paid orientation.
Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 holidays per year.
Annual bonus: up to 2% of annual gross pay.
Qualifications
Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Valid Commercial Learner’s Permit (if interested in company-paid CDL training).
HazMat endorsement preferred.
Passport, FAST card or Enhanced CDL opens more opportunities.
