$18.50/hr - $30.20/hr Responsibilities
Orders, replenishes, and merchandises Specialty products and participates in regional programs for purchasing and promotions. Performs all functions related to breaking down deliveries, merchandising new products, and stocking shelves. Assists Team Leader in organizing and developing promotional displays and maintaining operations standards. Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members in accordance with store SOPs. Follow health, sanitation, and safety regulations; maintain a clean and safe work environment; perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned. Ensure accurate signage, pricing, and execution of promotional programs; manage inventory, ordering, and returns as required. Analyze waste and spoilage and take action to minimize loss; complete required worksheets and documentation. Supports customer service through suggestive selling and effective product knowledge sharing. Complies with Weights and Measures and other regulatory requirements relevant to the department. Performs other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership. Job Skills
Extensive specialty knowledge, including production, distribution, seasonal availability, advances and trends. Familiarity with products, nutritional information, and related areas of study; ability to learn and apply product knowledge. Strong basic math, computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ordering systems. Effective communication, teamwork, and ability to educate others about products. Ability to meet customer service expectations and standards in all interactions; strong time management and organizational skills. Passion for natural foods and Whole Foods Market mission; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with urgency. Understanding of and compliance with quality goals and safety standards. Experience
12+ months retail experience Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
Must be able to lift 50 pounds. 8-hour workday: standing/walking 6-8 hours; use of hands for grasping, manipulation, pushing/pulling. Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, reaching; exposed to cleaning chemicals and varying temperatures. Ability to work in a wet and cold environment; flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters and electric pallet jacks. Where applicable, TIPS course completion and age 18+ to serve alcohol. Note
