The
Conference Sales Manager
is located at the Charles E Knight Conference Center on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis. The Conference Sales Manager represents the property in developing market segments and new customer relationships while maintaining existing accounts, striving to maximize revenue in rooms, public space, food and beverage, and ancillary products and services.
Key Responsibilities: Strategically sell hotel rooms, conference center space, including related services, and food and beverage needs to individuals, groups, and companies. Achieve/exceed annual budgeted sales goals through direct sales solicitation, developing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, managing account details, and preparing reports. Respond promptly to inquiries to promote the hotel and conference center. Maintain positive customer relationships and ensure timely responses to inquiries for space or service needs. Consult with customers throughout their meeting/conference planning to ensure complete satisfaction. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and at least two years of hotel or conference center sales experience. Strong quantitative, oral, and written communication skills, and problem-solving/strategizing abilities. Excellent computer skills, with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
