Job Description As an AT&T Outside Wireless Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales and promoting AT&T’s wireless products and services directly to customers in an assigned territory. This role involves prospecting for new business, engaging with both individual consumers and small to medium-sized businesses, and offering tailored solutions to meet their communication needs. You’ll be expected to work independently in the field as well as with a team, build lasting relationships, and achieve sales targets while providing an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Prospecting: Identify and engage new customers through networking, community outreach, and attending local events to increase awareness of AT&T’s wireless products and services.
Product Demonstration: Present AT&T’s wireless solutions, including mobile devices, plans, and in‑home internet services to both individual and business customers, clearly explaining the benefits and features of each product.
Sales Closing: Lead negotiations, close sales, and handle any customer objections to secure long‑term agreements while meeting or exceeding sales goals and quotas.
Customer Needs Assessment: Work with customers to understand their wireless needs, offering customized solutions that address their unique requirements (e.g., mobile plans, device upgrades, business solutions).
Market Research: Stay updated on AT&T’s products, promotions, and industry trends to effectively compete in the wireless marketplace.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business through excellent post‑sale support and follow‑up.
Territory Management: Manage an assigned territory, ensuring consistent engagement and fostering relationships with potential customers within the region.
Reporting & Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer information, and pipeline updates in company CRM system, ensuring timely submission of reports to management.
Promotion of AT&T Brand: Represent AT&T’s values and branding in a professional manner, positioning the company as a leader in wireless solutions.
Qualifications
Experience: Prior sales experience, especially in wireless or technology sales, is preferred but not required.
Sales Skills: Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets through both inbound and outbound sales activities.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain products to customers in an easy‑to‑understand manner.
Self‑Motivation: Highly motivated and goal‑oriented, with the ability to work independently and stay organized in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Technology Proficiency: Comfort with mobile technology, wireless devices, and CRM systems.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to travel frequently within the assigned region, including visiting customer locations, local events, and business offices.
