MMNA is seeking a District Sales Manager to join the North Regional Sales team. The DSM will work in a business consultant capacity, assisting MMNA dealers to profitably sell Mitsubishi vehicles and accessories, while providing customers with an excellent buying experience. This position supports 10 dealers in Ohio, Western PA, and Buffalo, NY. The ideal candidate must be located in Cleveland or Akron, OH. Responsibilities
Attain district wholesale and retail sales objectives. Contact dealerships and coordinate wholesale, retail vehicle, and point-of-entry accessory sales activities with dealer principals, general managers, and/or department managers. Develop and maintain effective, professional long-term relationships with dealers within the assigned district. Communicate with dealerships and provide consistent direction of policies and procedures. Monitor dealer adherence to policies, procedures, and participation in sales, marketing, and advertising programs. Advise Region management of non-compliance situations and recommend solutions. Analyze individual dealership sales, market penetration, and vehicle inventory. Develop and recommend marketing/promotional strategies to maximize wholesale/retail sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Educate Dealers on marketing changes, including social media, electronic marketing tools, and reputation metrics (e.g., Google Star, Cars.com). Enroll Dealers in the latest marketing programs and services. Ensure Mitsubishi logo and website compliance with Dealers. Coach Dealers and their sales staff to ensure proper training using Mitsubishi’s Academy, MiShowroom, and MiDelivery. Research and resolve outstanding incentive payments with Dealers. Assist Dealers in utilizing and claiming their RDA and Co-op Funds. Coordinate, plan, and implement sales strategy with district counterparts. Other duties as assigned or required. Required Qualifications
Preferred 3+ years of professional exempt-level automotive retail/wholesale experience or prior automotive retail sales experience (e.g., Sales Representative, Sales Manager, F&I Manager). Prefer Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Extensive travel is required. Must maintain a valid unconditional driver’s license and a MMNA approved driving record. The base salary for this position ranges between $90,000 and $100,000. The base salary will be based on a number of factors including role offered, and the individual’s job-related knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
