Adjunct Math Teacher – Oregon Connections Academy
Serve students online as a part‑time, work‑from‑home Adjunct Math Teacher in TN, PA, WA, and MI. This role requires a state teaching certificate and a commitment to 20 hours per week.
Primary Responsibilities
Deliver synchronous and asynchronous online lessons using Adobe Connect™.
Grading and personalized feedback on assignments in a timely manner.
Regular communication with students and colleagues to adjust pacing plans.
Use data to monitor student progress and facilitate appropriate interactions.
Review curriculum and make course modifications for students with IEP or 504 plans.
Collaborate with team members to develop enrichment activities for at‑risk students.
Maintain accurate student records and log all contacts.
Adhere to FERPA, Copyright, and other student privacy policies.
Build an inclusive online community and use a warm, supportive voice.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Valid state teaching certificate in Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Washington, or Michigan.
Bachelor’s degree and completion of a traditional teacher preparation program.
Ability to obtain certification in additional states if requested.
Proficiency in using web‑based learning tools and Microsoft Office or Google Apps.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent time‑management, organizational, and detail‑orientation skills.
Ability to work some evening hours and to use a personal device for two‑step authentication.
Experience working in a fast‑paced, virtual classroom environment is preferred.
Equipment and Technical Requirements
Personal computer with webcam, microphone, and reliable high‑speed internet.
Phone and a two‑step authentication‑enabled email address.
Pay begins at $900 per year for Colorado‑based applicants. Adjunct positions are not eligible for benefits.
