Water/Wastewater Engineer at Jacobs Jacobs is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our growing Water team in New England. You will work on a variety of water, wastewater, and stormwater conveyance and treatment planning and design projects, primarily supporting senior engineers and project managers. You will be responsible for evaluations, designs, and providing services during construction at municipal water and wastewater facilities. The role offers career opportunities while delivering transformative projects for our clients. Responsibilities

Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver water, wastewater, and stormwater design projects. Participate in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects and tasks. Coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians within the local and regional water group. Complete civil design calculations, sketches, technical comparisons, and similar work as required by each assignment. Assist in the development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Participate in professional organizations for marketing, industry recognition, networking, and building the Jacobs brand. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related engineering discipline is required. At least 3 years of consulting experience for water and wastewater clients. Experience serving clients in drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater conveyance systems. Understanding of water and wastewater conveyance and/or treatment processes, master planning, and condition assessments. Willingness to learn Jacobs’ proprietary tools. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; technical writing and clear input to investigations or reports. Working knowledge of local and state design codes and standards; proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience in AutoCAD and ESRI ArcGIS is required. Ideally, You’ll Also Have

Professional Engineer license, or ability to obtain within one year. Master’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or equivalent. Experience managing deliverables to scope, schedule, and budget. Experience providing services during construction. Involvement in professional society organizations or leadership roles with volunteer organizations. Self-motivated, initiator; demonstrated through professional society involvements or related activities. Base pay and benefits

The base salary range is $80,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year. Your actual pay will be based on skills and experience, and can vary by location. Jacobs provides health and welfare benefits including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discount. Eligible employees may enroll in a deferred compensation plan or the Executive Deferral Plan. Jacobs offers an unlimited U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off (PPTO) policy for full-time salaried/exempt employees, seven paid holidays, one floating holiday, and caregiver leave.
