Overview
Goldbelt Frontier LLC is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join the Air Force Family Advocacy Program at JBER AFB in Anchorage, Alaska. The Family Advocacy Intervention Specialist (FAIS) encompasses the roles of both the Treatment Manager and Outreach Manager and is a member of the multidisciplinary FAP team. This position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid. Under the leadership of the Family Advocacy Officer (FAO), the FAIS directs the development and implementation of prevention services, supports outreach and community prevention, and coordinates primary and secondary prevention and related activities, presentations, and programs. Assess maltreatment referrals and provide treatment for individuals, families, and groups meeting maltreatment criteria. Deliver New Parent Support Program (NPSP) services to provide voluntary, comprehensive prevention services (primarily home-based) to families to prevent maltreatment. Provide Family Advocacy Strength-Based Therapy (FAST) services offering voluntary prevention counseling to at-risk individuals, families, or groups. Serve as the primary treatment provider for assigned maltreatment and FAST cases, coordinating services and monitoring client participation and progress using social casework, psychotherapy, and psycho-educational interventions. Complete psychosocial assessments, assess safety ongoingly, and assist family members with safety planning; present assessment findings and recommendations for treatment. Coordinate with prevention staff on referrals to educational services as part of intervention plans, and collaborate with NPSP team members to develop service plans that include prevention services. Conduct home visits for high-need NPSP clients and provide prevention services, briefings, and educational presentations. Provide supportive services and guidance in communication, relationship enhancement, conflict management, and bereavement; promote community initiatives to reduce maltreatment risk factors and foster resiliency. Educate and advocate with public affairs to increase awareness of FAP services for military families and promote community response effectiveness. Act as Team Leader and Community Liaison, primary representative to the Integrated Delivery System (IDS); coordinate all Outreach Program services under the direction of the FAO. Promote initiatives to reduce maltreatment risk factors and foster community resiliency in collaboration with IDS and other key organizations. Coordinate with prevention staff regarding referrals to educational services; ensure activities align with IDS goals. Qualifications
Master's degree from a CSWE-accredited school. Current, unrestricted U.S. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensure. Two (2) years of full-time post-master’s degree experience in professional clinical counseling services to individuals in abusive or abused contexts; two (2) years’ experience with children, families, and groups in clinical or community settings; or as a program manager with responsibilities in program planning, education, and community collaboration. Experience working with professionals and agencies that provide community support and counseling services to children and families; experience as a group therapy facilitator or co-leader. Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. Willingness to comply with government vaccination requirements per CDC guidelines for diseases including Hepatitis B, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, influenza, and to provide proof of a negative TB skin test; annual influenza vaccination is required for Family Advocacy Program personnel working with MTFs.
