Temporary Other Conditions: Lecturer applicant pool for Academic Year 2025 - 2026. Positions are part-time, temporary, non-tenure, and contingent upon course offerings, sufficient student enrollment, position clearance and availability of funding. May be for courses during the day, evening, off-campus, and/or via distance learning, as needed. Duties and Responsibilities Teach lecture and laboratory courses in Introductory Chemistry, General chemistry, and Organic Chemistry. Other chemistry courses may be assigned, as needed by the Department of Chemistry. Maintain minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field from an accredited college or university (degree fully completed at time of application) or any combination of education/training/experience that equates to this credential for purposes of providing instruction in Chemistry. Evidence of satisfactory teaching ability.
Desirable Qualifications Demonstrated high-quality teaching in a multicultural setting. College-level chemistry teaching experience beyond the teaching assistant level. Demonstrated ability to teach lecture and laboratory courses in areas such as organic chemistry, biochemistry, physical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, or environmental chemistry.
