Job Overview
.5 FTE Assistant Nordic Ski Coach – part-time position beginning 11/10/2025. Location: High School. Scheduled hours/days: 2-3 hours/day, 5-6 days/week.
Qualifications
Candidate must have competed or coached the sport at the high school or college level.
Candidate must complete all Northfield and MSHSL professional development requirements.
Candidate must pass a criminal background check.
Head Coaches must have or be able to obtain a Head Coaching License or appropriate certification.
Compensation and Benefits Stipend: $2,217.50 plus Years of Experience Pay if applicable – subject to change upon the settlement of the 25-27 NEA Agreement. The position does not qualify for benefits.
Deadline and EEO Open until filled. EOE (10/15/2025). Employment is contingent upon completion of a background check.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate and generate good sportsmanship and fair play by adhering to the Coach's Code of Ethics.
Know and administer the policies, procedures, and guidelines set forth in the Coaches' Handbook, Conference, and MSHSL policies for the sport.
Carry out responsibilities as designated by the head coach.
Provide for the health, safety, and well-being of team members.
Actively work to create a culture free from hazing and initiations.
Adhere to the starting and ending dates for the sport.
Be aware of all MSHSL rules that would pertain to you and your sport.
