This Intergenerational Child Care Center is embedded in The Pillars of Prospect Park Senior Living community and features 133 Independent living, 106 assisted living, and 44 memory care apartments. We are looking for an

Assistant Child Care Teacher

to support The Pillars of Prospect Park's Intergenerational Child Care program by caring for and teaching young children in their assigned age group. Early Education Assistants will teach, plan, and organize childcare program activities to ensure that the program provides the highest quality childcare available.

Responsibilities

Implement developmentally age-appropriate curriculum Maintain a child-friendly and orderly classroom Implement effective guidance and support strategies Coordinate and contribute to the teaching team Supervise health, safety, and overall well-being of children at all times Participate in program areas such as intergenerational activities Maintain certification in Pediatric First Aid, CPR, SUIDS/AHT

Required

High school degree Child Development or Teacher qualified under Minnesota 9503.0032 Current Pediatric CPR from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross; must be obtained within 90 days of hire

Preferred

Associate of Arts Degree in childhood/child psychology Two years teaching in childcare center or early childhood program
