Overview
Meat-Seafood Manager role at Winn-Dixie. Manages the daily operations of meat and seafood departments, promoting and executing compliant operating conditions and providing fresh, appealing products with courteous, knowledgeable service. Responsibilities
Teach, coach and train meat cutters on standards and trim specs; ensure fresh meat cutting standards, meat trim, tray weights and ground beef processing and logs. Maintain core assortment and meat case flow-gram; execute merchandising plans as outlined in department planners, toolkits or event packs. Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated; meet the company’s expectations for at-shelf product availability, freshness, quality and value. Train department associates on freshness, inventory levels, stocking and ordering; assist customers in finding or suggesting products; fulfill customer requests and special orders. Promote teamwork and leadership; hire associates as needed and manage performance and development; manage schedules to ensure peak-hour service and conditions. Adhere to all local, state and federal laws and company guidelines; ensure safety, sanitation and compliance across the department. Key Performance Indicators
Department OSAT: customer experience across assortment, cleanliness, freshness, staff friendliness and stock availability. Sales to Purchase %: forecast and order to maintain department profitability. Production Planning Compliance %: provide quality information to optimize system outputs. Qualifications
Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree Languages:
English; Spanish (preferred) Relevant Experience:
3 - 6 years minimum supervisory experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must be 18 years of age; United States work authorization; successful pre-employment drug testing and background check; strong customer service, interpersonal, motivational and communication skills; knowledge of basic math; ability to handle stressful situations; knowledge of cutting, traying, wrapping, and labeling; knife handling skills and knife speed; proficiency with department computer applications; food safety certification or ability to obtain within 180 days Environmental & Safety:
comfort with physical demands and safety training; adherence to food safety guidelines and hazard controls; PPE usage and equipment safety Shift
Varied shifts, including three to four evening (prime time) shifts each week. Travel
