Join an advanced cardiovascular intensive care team in Houston's vibrant Texas Medical Center. This full-time, night-shift position offers an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to work with critically ill cardiac patients, including those recovering from complex procedures like endovascular and open aortic repairs, CABG, and valve surgeries. This role is ideal for a provider passionate about caring for heart failure patients and eager to train on mechanical circulatory support devices.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, compassionate care through assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and in-hospital follow-up.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, physicians, and specialists in one of the largest medical centers in the world.
Participate in credentialing and onboarding (approx. 2-3 months).
Schedule
Hours: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (paid for 40 hours/week)
Shifts: Rotating weekends and holidays
Required Qualifications
MSN - Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP)
2-3 years of critical care (ICU) RN or NP experience, preferably in CVICU
Direct experience managing heart failure patients (RN or NP), including experience from mixed ICUs
Open to night shifts
Willingness to train on advanced cardiac devices
