Provide support in the day-to-day operations of the dining room while maintaining a high quality, positive, and safe physical and social environment for residents and fellow team members. Provide dining service training to new care managers. Maintain knowledge of Daily and Always Available Menu items and provide general descriptions to residents. Assist residents with menu selections and respond to questions about menu items. Take meal and beverage orders and serve items according to established guidelines. Respond to the dining needs of residents while maintaining Sunrise hospitality and service standards. Attend pre-meal briefings to gain knowledge of the meal and meal support activities. Follow all local, state/provincial, and federal policies regarding food handling. Maintain standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards. General Dining Room
Perform dining room checklist inspections for cleanliness and readiness and adjust as needed to maintain quality standards. Maintain side work duties as assigned. Keep assigned tables and surrounding areas clean, neat, and ready for use. Ensure dining room setup and re-set of tables align with procedures. Support dining room decorum and etiquette standards. Complete opening and closing checklist criteria. Assist in tabletop inventories maintenance. Resident Services
Review, read, notate, and initial the Daily Log to document pertinent information. Review Resident Diet Book-TSD or confidential chart. Maintain and protect the confidentiality of resident information. Food Safety and Sanitation
Practice safe food handling at all times to prevent food borne illness. Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning assignments. Maintain all work areas in a healthy and safe condition. Assist in dining room and surrounding areas for proper directional flow, organization, and supplies placement. Risk Management and General Safety
Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with national/provincial regulations pertaining to occupational health and safety requirements. Promote Risk Management programs and policies and adhere to safety rules and regulations. Training and Contributing to Team Success
Participate actively as a member of a team and work toward team goals. Demonstrate Team Member Credo in daily interactions. Commit to serving residents and guests through Principles of Service. Contribute to engagement programs and processes. Attend regular meetings and trainings as directed by the Supervisor/Department Coordinator. Maintain compliance in required trainings and standards.
