As an Art History teacher in New York City’s top-performing network of K-12 charter schools, you will join a team of professionals committed to teaching and preparing children from low-income neighborhoods to be self-assured thinkers and leaders, capable of exploring and debating sophisticated ideas, and ready for college and whatever they set their sights on. We develop our scholars\' palette for history, empowering them to engage creatively, critically, and meaningfully with the world around them in ways that are endlessly fascinating, complex, and philosophical.

Responsibilities

Teach High School Art History to a diverse student population, fostering critical thinking, creative inquiry, and scholarly discussion. Engage in professional development and receive targeted feedback and coaching to improve performance. Collaborate with school leaders and peers to support student growth and achievement. Contribute to a culture of leadership development and potential advancement within the grade level or broader school leadership tracks.

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree before your first day of work with Success Academy. A rigorous and relevant academic major (e.g., Art History, History, or related field). Ability to work in person in New York City. Experience supervising a classroom of students (quantity dependent on grade level).

Compensation

Starting From: $65,000.00
