JOB SUMMARY Responsible for maintaining, setting up, food production, and quality control of all meat, fish, fowl, and other food items prepared on the front-line station. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS This description summarizes primary responsibilities and qualifications. It does not include all duties or qualifications that may be required now or in the future. The hotel operates 24/7, so shifts may vary. Prepares daily preparation lists for production. Uses math skills to follow recipes accurately. Prepares all broiled and sautéed items according to recipes and guest orders, ensuring consistency; involves transporting heavy food products. Inspects, selects, and uses only high-standard food items for all menu preparations. Ensures proper storage, portion control, especially for meats, to maintain quality. Maintains cleanliness of refrigeration, equipment, and work areas to comply with health regulations. Logs temperature controls for cooling and heating. Adheres to company policies and safety procedures. Follows safety, security, and emergency protocols, including fire prevention. Uses protective equipment and reports unsafe conditions or incidents. Maintains a neat and professional appearance as per the employee handbook. Performs other duties as assigned and assists team members when needed. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Hold a current Food Handler Card. Preferably 2 years of cooking experience, especially in broiler cooking. Basic knowledge of food preparation, service standards, and guest relations. Proficient in broiler and sauté cooking techniques. Knowledge of sanitation standards and operation of kitchen equipment. Basic math skills for recipes and portioning. Basic English language skills for communication. Ability to understand and follow product labeling instructions. Ability to operate beverage equipment, e.g., coffee makers. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Lift or move items weighing up to 100 lbs. Manual dexterity to operate kitchen tools and equipment. Perform duties in extreme temperatures and confined spaces. Frequent physical activity including twisting, bending, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling. Benefits
