Supervise all aspects of food preparation, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality. Develop and standardize recipes to maintain portion control and uphold high culinary standards. Create new menu specials and contribute to menu development with innovative ideas. Maintain proper portioning and ingredient ratios to minimize waste and maximize efficiency. Oversee job methods and cooking techniques to maintain consistency across all dishes. Ensure that all food is prepared and served promptly, maintaining freshness and flavor profiles. Schedule, train, and mentor kitchen staff to optimize efficiency and uphold professional standards. Review staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours while controlling labor costs. Enforce proper food safety handling procedures and ensure compliance with local health regulations. Maintain kitchen safety and sanitation protocols, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene at all times. Conduct regular inspections of kitchen stations, storage, and equipment to maintain high operational standards. Manage inventory and ensure efficient ordering of food products, minimizing waste and overstocking. Collaborate with vendors to maintain quality ingredient sourcing while managing costs. Monitor and control food costs, assisting in budget planning and financial forecasting. Perform administrative duties, including maintaining reports, documentation, and kitchen records. Communicate with the Executive Chef and management team regarding kitchen operations and needs. Obtain customer and staff feedback on food quality and implement necessary improvements. Qualifications

Degree from an accredited culinary school or equivalent hands-on experience. 2+ years of experience in a similar leadership role in a high-volume kitchen. Strong knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and food service best practices. Ability to coach, develop, and manage a large team (50+ employees). Experience in high-volume cooking and food preparation. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and multitask effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and restaurant management software. Ability to obtain a ServSafe Certification (if not already certified). Prior experience in country clubs, hotels, or high-end restaurants. Strong understanding of budget management and cost control in a culinary setting. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
