Overview
Assist the Safety team to review, evaluate, and analyze work environments and project safety. Help coordinate safety programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent injury. Support in the facilitation of management’s enforcement and adherence to laws and regulations governing the health and safety of individuals, and comply with corporate safety program standards. Responsibilities
Visit various jobsites, by the request of a manager or at random. Learn how to interact with field staff and leadership, identify various compliance and safety issues, and encourage hazard recognition to support the company to “0” injuries. Perform independently once comfortable. Respond as a resource of information to employee questions and issues regarding safety Assist Safety Team in developing topics for Branch safety meetings and monthly safety talks Participate in accident investigations and review meetings to determine and communicate root causes for future prevention Conduct weekly Safety Orientations to new employees Complete train-the-trainer courses and provide on the job training to employees as requested in the areas of Aerial Lift, Forklift, etc. Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, construction emphasis preferred 3-5 years of experience working with Hyperscale projects BCSP Designation or other related designation/certification is required Previous internship or work experience involving safety required Positive safety attitude and personal integrity – both are non-negotiable Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to gain trust and respect of employees and supervisors throughout all levels of the organization Comfortable in multi-tasking within a fast-paced environment Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and able to quick learner to computer programs PPC Partners is an Equal Opportunity Employer Seniority level
