This 1099 Contractor role begins 10/13/25 and spans 12+ months. The position supports safety oversight for drywall, framing, lath, plaster, and fireproofing activities during a large-scale hospital expansion.
Project Scope
Daily inspections and monitoring of contractor activities Oversight of drywall and framing crews in high‑paced environments Conduct toolbox talks, orientations, and safety training Hazard identification, corrective action tracking, and compliance reporting Coordination with GC, subcontractors, and site teams to maintain a strong safety culture Responsibilities
Conduct daily safety walks, audits, and hazard recognition Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee orientations Act as a visible safety leader in the field, not just administrative support Manage safety documentation, incident investigations, and reports Coach and motivate workers, ensuring a proactive approach to safety Qualifications
Drywall/framing experience (most important requirement) BCSP (STS‑C or Higher), OSHA 30, and 5+ years of experience Construction safety management background Strong communication skills with ability to engage a diverse workforce Physically capable of navigating a large project site Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus, not required Knowledge Base
