Overview
School Bus Driver – No Exp Needed – Training Provided. Hiring immediately for Durham School Services. Location: 4124 Winnetka Ave N, New Hope, MN 55427. Starting pay rate: $28.75 per hour. Training provided to obtain CDL and required endorsements. Medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance available; retirement savings plan eligibility. Responsibilities Include
Provides safe and reliable transportation service by operating a school bus or other location-specific vehicle with a fixed or changing route. Exhibits ethical practices and personal integrity; reports concerns about suspicious or inappropriate behavior to supervisor. Reports to duty on time and maintains route punctuality in a safe manner. Assists passengers physically in evacuation of the vehicle in case of emergency. Immediately reports any accident or incident per company policy. Follows company policy around student and/or passenger management. Informs appropriate personnel of problems/procedures; presents a neat and professional appearance. Completes required paperwork (route change sheets, time cards, vehicle repair requests) and submits promptly. Maintains a cooperative attitude with colleagues, customers, and passengers to promote company goodwill. Safely and efficiently utilizes vehicle equipment, including wheelchair lifts, radios and emergency equipment. Other duties as assigned. Must be at least 21 years of age; in some locations, 25 per state law. Must possess or obtain all valid applicable state licenses and required certifications to operate company vehicles. Must meet physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening; safety-sensitive with random testing per policy. Must satisfactorily complete and pass all training. Must practice defensive driving and safe work habits. Compliance with all applicable federal, state, county, district, and contract-specific driver requirements. Company and Benefits
Company: Durham School Services. Pay range for routed drivers: $28.75–$33.25 per hour. Paid training at $18.35 per hour. Bonuses: attendance bonus of $625 per quarter after 1 year.
