Immunization and safety requirements: Seasonal influenza vaccine is a condition of employment. New employees must provide immunization records for measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), varicella, and tetanus/diphtheria/acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination as applicable; exemptions may be discussed with Human Resources.
Responsibilities
Performs high complexity testing and laboratory procedures in assigned area(s) of the Genetics Laboratory.
Assist in the coordination of departmental activities within the lab section(s) assigned.
Assists in the coordination of continuous quality control, quality assurance, and quality improvement activities.
Maintains general operations of the laboratory.
Engagement in research activities (as assigned).
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 1-2 years experience; prefer minimum 1 year experience working in Children's Mercy Genetics Laboratory.
One of the following: MOLECULAR BIOLOGY, MB (ASCP), Certified Cytogenetics Tech, Certified Medical Technologist - ASCP required upon hire.
MB (ASCP) or CG (ASCP) or MT (ASCP) required upon hire.

Starting Pay Pay begins at $33.23/hr, with offers determined based on education and experience.
